This large girder bridge crosses an abandoned railroad grade south of Amana.
Built in approximately 1930, the bridge replaced an older single span beam bridge.
Consisting of a main through girder span, this is approached by a deck girder span on either side. The entire bridge sits on a concrete substructure.
The railroad below was a former Milwaukee Road branch line, that would later be abandoned in the 1970s.
Overall, the bridge remains in good condition. The bridge likely saw some upgrades in the 1980s.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design of the bridge.
The photo above is an overview. The bridge can be accessed from US-6.
